We stayed here with our two children 2 & 4 years old. Firstly before arrival I found all my communication with Karen excellent she found numbers for us and sent us heaps of info (as we were first timers at the snow) the room was excellent clean spacious really good value for falls with a great view. It was a bit of a hike up a small hill probably only a problem for us as we had to carry our 2 yo and all our gear as it was too slippery and steep for her with all the snow. We couldn't ski in/out as our kids were too young so spent a LOT of time and effort lugging them and our gear to the shuttle stop at the bottom of the little hill. In future I would defiantly use the ski valet service or hire a locker at cloud 9 to save carting our skis and carrying children up and down hills and stairs in ski boots. Room was warm and had everything we needed would be happy to stay here again.
We arrived on a horrible day of rain, so our plan to have half of our group walk while the other half took luggage from snowcat didn't exactly work out. It's walking distance if you have the right shoes but you can't really carry anything to the apartment. Great if you're staying a while and eating out all the time, otherwise access to the main road isn't convenient for check-in/check-out. Also, unless it has snowed a lot, you won't have access to all ski lifts in VB. Owner was very friendly, so was the resident puppy :) The only downside to our 3 bedroom apartment was that it was up 3 flights of stairs (4 if you're coming from the ski locker) Considering the high price you're paying, an elevator would be expected so look after your legs while skiing. We did have an issue with a blocked toilet in the morning but since we were out all day, the problem was fixed in the evening. The room is very comfortably warm (too warm for my travel buddies) which meant the drying room was exceptional!
